Sammy is an experienced maths teacher across secondary, alternative provisions, adult and higher education. Sammy was named in the EdTech 50 in 2021 and holds a collection of Microsoft and Google accreditations as well as her ACMALT from the UK Association of Learning Technology. Sammy now works for Texthelp as a Teaching and Learning Specialist combining her maths teaching experience and EdTech skills working with Equatio.

Patrick is a passionate educator, an accomplished international speaker, blogger, panelist and contributor across a wide range of media. Whilst focusing on how technology can make a real and meaningful impact on teaching and learning for all, Patrick has a particular interest in inclusion and equity for all. Managing Texthelp’s EMEA team, and working with partners and schools around the world, Patrick aims to ensure that Texthelp products achieve their vision of ‘reaching every learner’ by empowering teachers and ensuring positive outcomes for all through the effective use of education technology that focuses first on teaching and learning. An Apple Education Mentor and Google Certified Educator, Patrick has received the UK Digital Leader 100 award and an Honorary Fellowship of the University of Ulster (School of Education). His specialist areas include literacy, inclusion, assessment, educational vision, leadership, and change management.

Judy is an independent education consultant specialising in dyslexia and dyscalculia, as well as an Associate Tutor for the BDA and Edge Hill University. She is also a trainer for Maths No Problem, training teachers in Singapore Maths. Her previous role was as a senior teacher for Dyslexia Action, where she gained a great deal of experience in teaching dyslexic children and adults. Judy is a primary trained teacher and is a qualified specialist teacher of dyslexia having gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Education and AMBDA.

Peter has been teaching mathematics in secondary schools since 2006 and leading maths departments since the beginning of 2011 – currently at an 11-16 school in Leicestershire. Peter’s books “Visible Maths: Using representations and structure to enhance mathematics teaching in schools” and “Conceptual Maths: Teaching ‘about’ (rather than just ‘how to do’) mathematics in schools” are available on the Crown House Publishing website, through www.amazon.co.uk or from your preferred local book shop.

Allan started his career as a Secondary Mathematics teacher in Scotland. As a celebrated teacher, he held various leadership positions in schools and was Scottish Teacher of the Year Runner Up. After moving to Australia, Allan quickly proved himself as a teacher of merit holding senior leadership positions in NSW schools.

After 20 years as a maths teacher, Andy ensures that MEI provides a high-quality and accessible experience for teachers and students using their online teaching and learning platform. Andy leads MEI’s online resources work, which includes overseeing the development of Integral, and helps to develop digital strategy in this area.

Catherine is a multiple award-winning educator who has transformed teaching and learning in primary mathematics at Western Sydney University for over 15 years. Catherine's main area of research is focused on student engagement with mathematics and issues surrounding the pedagogical practices that influence students' engagement. Catherine is also actively researching contemporary teaching practices through the use of digital technologies.

Alex is an experienced primary teacher, education researcher, and consultant. Alex mentors pre-service and graduate teachers and consults to various organisations and schools. She is currently managing mathsplay.org - a global campaign working toward a world where everyone has access to positive maths learning experiences. Since discovering the playful nature of maths herself, in 2016, she has been making time for recreational #mathsplay.

Katie is a primary educator with a passion for including technology seamlessly across all curriculum areas. She has over 12 years experience of teaching in the UK, Europe and Asia. Her current role involves leading professional training of staff to feel more confident in using technology with their students. She also teaches an enhanced digital learning curriculum to KS2 students, giving students those vital life long skills they need as they enter secondary education. She is a Certified Google Trainer and Innovator.

She is also an ISTE Certified Educator, Google Certified Trainer and Innovator, and Microsoft Certified Educator.

Hari is a primary maths and chess teacher. An intervention teacher in London schools, she is currently studying dyscalculia at university. Making maths accessible to all learners is at the heart of her teaching, where manipulatives and gamebased learning are key. She is a Curious Maths teacher and maths column writer for Cherubs parenting magazine. Hari is also a LogiqBoard teacher. She teaches chess mini-games and other strategic games in primary schools using the online and interactive 8x8 LogiqBoard. She's a regular writer for Rise Education magazine, where you'll find her sharing her passion for chess, strategic games and problem solving.

Outside of her role as a maths teacher and trainer, Julia is an author with BBC Bitesize, Cambridge and Oxford University Press, Collins. As well as an AQA Expert Panel Member, 5Rs Developer and Project Lead with the EEF Research Project. In 2021, she won a Shine Award for the 5Rs Revision-based curriculum approach to GCSE Maths.

Atul is an online maths tutor based in London. An early adopter, he started tutoring online 12 years ago and has tutored in over 26 countries. He invented remote Dyscalculia tutoring in 2015 while innovating the use of document cameras, real time online whiteboards and virtual manipulatives. He hosts a regular video live stream #MathsChatLive with the world's leading mathematics teaching experts as guests.

Patrick Dalgety went to school in Fortrose, Scotland. On leaving, he worked at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness before studying drama in Edinburgh. Patrick has over forty years’ experience in the Live Entertainments and Events industry, specialising in Lighting, Sound, and Production Management. When Covid led to the cancellation of all his work, he took this opportunity to fulfil a long-held aspiration to study Electrical Engineering. Patrick was able to complete his HNC and become a fully qualified Electrical Engineer with help from Texthelp’s STEM tool, Equatio, which he was supplied through his college.
